A Global Meeting of Minds

After years in the planning, Expo 2020 Dubai is scheduled to take place from 1st October 2021 and run until 31st March 2022.

In November 2013, The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris announced that Dubai won the bid to host Expo 2020.  Sadly, due to the global pandemic caused by Covid-19, Expo was postponed until 2021 The World Expo will be hosted in the Middle East and North Africa and South Asia region for the very first time and Dubai is proud to be the host city for this iconic six-month event.

The impressive Expo 2020 site spans 438 hectares and is strategically located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, close to Jebel Ali Free Zone and Al Maktoum International Airport. The master plan is organized around a central plaza called Al Wasl and comprises of three large themed districts.  Each theme is dedicated to one of the sub-themes of Expo 2020 which includes opportunity, mobility and sustainability.
