Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 April 2022: As part of its social commitment towards sustainable development, guided by the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed and the vision and directives of the UAE’s leadership, Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, is sponsoring the humanitarian sporting event titled ‘Zayed is in our Hearts Tournament for People of Determination’.
The event coincides with Zayed Day for Humanitarian Work, a day to commemorate the achievements of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, and his love for humanity, charitable work, and the value of giving that he exemplified.
The humanitarian sponsorship features, distributing special wheelchairs, electronic educational tablets, gifts, memorial photos, and iftar meals to the people of determination.
Talking about the event and the support being offered by the developer, Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Developments said, “This sponsorship is part of our wide-ranging CSR efforts, as well as a projection of our love and respect for late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of our nation. We are taking another step towards ensuring equal rights and inclusion for people of determination and their families and we will make every effort to support such events and foster a sense of community and solidarity. With this sponsorship, we also seek to raise awareness among the youngsters so that they can assist the people of determination in becoming happy members of our society with a purpose.”
The event will be held on the 21st of April in Abu Dhabi and will progress upon the charitable legacy of late Sheikh Zayed as a symbol of wisdom and goodness in the UAE and the region. The initiative is organised in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination. The goal is to reinforce social responsibility across all community sectors for those in need, predominantly for the determined ones and the orphans.
